The honour of penning the debut Star Trek: Strange New Words novel has fallen to New York Times bestselling author John Jackson Miller. Miller is no stranger to this particular crew, as he has previously written for Pike, Spock and Number One in the Discovery Season 2 tie-in novel The Enterprise War, back in 2019. This is, however, the first time he has written for the entire crew featured in the hit TV series Strange New Worlds.
