Howard Weinstein Interview With StarTrekBookClub.com

  • I’m going to Shore Leave!
  • I’m interviewing authors before I go
  • Howard Weinstein Is The First Victim
  • I had some technical issues, but Mr Weinstein was very understanding about it and we had a great chat

As I may have mentioned, I’m on my way to my first experience at a Star Trek convention, Shore Leave.  I was lucky enough to speak to Mr Weinstein about the show, and had a great conversation with him about the decades of experience he as as both an attendee and as a guest.  That’s the basis for the chat, but we definitely don’t stay on just that one topic.

We discuss a ton of other items of interest including his recently released “Galloway’s Gamble 2: Lucifer & The Great Baltimore Brawl“, the second entry into his historical fiction series involving two brothers, horse racing, and plenty of action, his support for the upcoming “Silverado Press Presents“, an anthology of stories by some very familiar names for Trek fans, and spoke of his first corgi named “Mail Order Annie” and how she inspired him to start a career training dogs.  She gave him enough life experiences and lessons to fill a 224 page book:

A Welsh Corgi pup named Mail Order Annie honked car horns, vanquished baby gates, schemed after cookies, donuts and room-service sandwiches, starred at STAR TREK conventions…and charmed everyone she met. But charm doesn’t mean a puppy won’t eat the kitchen walls! Best-selling author-turned-trainer Howard Weinstein tells Annie’s story in a truly universal dog book, and shares his hard-won expertise — Giving new pup-owners training tips and a clear idea of what to expect from life with a wonderful dog, including “Puppy Prep 101” and “Puppy School 202” — Helping current dog-owners get the most from the human-canine relationship — Sharing stories to touch the hearts of all dog-lovers. Written with a journalist’s eye for truth and detail, a novelist’s story-telling skills, and a professional trainer’s practical observations and experience… Straight from Annie’s heart to yours!
