Stephen V. Cole is a role-playing game designer. He is currently the CEO of Amarillo Design Bureau, the publisher of Star Fleet Battles. He is a former member of the US Army, working as an engineer and as an intelligence officer. After leaving the military, he formed JagdPanther Publications. Later, he co-founded Task Force Games and published the first edition of Star Fleet Battles, a game he designed in 1979.
