This volume collects DC’s The Next Generation Annuals #4–6 and Star Trek Annual #6, featuring stories by Mike W. Barr, Howard Weinstein, and Michael Jan Friedman that bring brought back Trill Ambassador Odan, Data’s Sherlock Holmes holo-program, time traveler Gary Seven, and the shapeshifters of Devidia II. The sixth annuals of both lines, with diptych covers by Jason Palmer, form a two-part story spanning generations in which Seven’s employers help Kirk’s and Picard’s crews repair history after the Devidians alter the timeline to erase the Federation’s formation.

In addition, this volume features another rare Brazilian Star Trek tale from Editora Abril. Whereas Jornada Nas Estrelas issue #4 (collected in volume 129) provided an original story, issue #5 offers an abridged—and bizarre—adaptation of the classic episode “The Return of the Archons.” Titled “A Hora Rubra” (“The Red Hour”), the issue follows the same basic premise as that episode, but with alterations intended to make it seem more Gold Key-like. The writers and artists for both issues are unknown, but they were edited by the late Victor Civita and his son, Roberto Civita.
