In August 1993, Malibu Comics launched the first-ever original monthly series of STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE.

The events in volume 37 of the Star Trek Graphic Novel Collection take place during the first four seasons of the TV show, and star all of the much-loved characters from the series. Malibu’s comics feature new adventures and an in-depth exploration of the crew of Deep Space Nine, with conflicts stretching over quadrants.

Writer Mike W. Barr and artists Gordon Purcell and Terry Pallot start off the series with a two-part story about a strange, disruptive substance that arrives from the station from the Gamma Quadrant.
