Star Trek: Crucible
From birth to death, we trace an unbroken filament of being. Moments connect seamlessly into a lifetime, telling the singular tale of each of us. The threads of our lives tie together many things & events, places, thoughts and not always in obviously discernible ways. Indeed, the webs of our existence spin wide, by virtue of our movements not only through time and space and consciousness, but through the lives of others. And via the paths others take through our own lives.
Existence becomes both cause and effect: we influence, and are influenced; we act, and are acted upon; we bond with others, and they with us. The strands of being form and entwine, like stories writ together in the book of the universe. And sometimes the impacts of our actions extend farther than we know.
In a single moment, the lives of three men will be forever changed. In that split second, defined paradoxically by both salvation and loss, they will destroy the world and then restore it. Much had come before, and much would come after, but nothing would color their lives more than that one, isolated instant on the edge of forever.
